How to update items in Coral

General info

  • Toolbound items and some machined are made on FlexLink drawings and 3D files. BC drawing shall be attached as a ”Related document”.
  • All other items (cut beams, slide rails, assemblies etc) are made on BC drawings. In some cases a 3D file is made. This file can only be made from a STEP file from BC.

Creating a new or updating an existing cover strip or slide rail

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Specifications (type “Customer drawing”).  (There should not be a Solidworks drawing attached)
  • See part number 5121119 as example.

Creating a new or updating an existing beam (cut and machined)

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Specifications (type “Customer drawing”). See 5121130 as example.
  • Add the document 6736286 (Chemical conversion).
  • Create a Solidworks part and attach it under CAD. This is created from a STEP file from BC and needed for the NC machining.

Creating a new or updating an existing Cable duct

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Specifications (type “Customer drawing”). See 5121071 as example.
  • Add the document 6736286 (Chemical conversion)
  • Create a Solidworks part and attach it under CAD. This is created from a STEP file from BC and needed for the NC machining. (There should not be a Solidworks drawing attached.)
  • Add document 6736547 under specifications.

Creating a new or updating an existing cover for Cable duct

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Specifications (type “Customer drawing”). See 5122234 as example.
  • Add the document 6736286 (Chemical conversion)
  • Create a Solidworks part and attach it under CAD. This is created from a STEP file from BC and needed for the NC machining. (There should not be a Solidworks drawing attached.)
  • Add the document 6736481 under specifications.

Creating a new or updating an existing Sensor bracket

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Related documents. Name it ”Original BC drawing”.
  • Add a 3D model and drawing in SW that are identical with the BC drawing. NB! All dimensions on the BC drawing must be found on the FL drawing.
  • Add documents under Specifications.
  • See part number 5120808 as example.

Creating a new or updating an existing Disc

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Related documents. Name it ”Original BC drawing”.
  • Add a 3D model and drawing in SW that are identical with the BC drawing. NB! All dimensions on the BC drawing must be found on the FL drawing.
  • Add documents under Specifications.
  • See part number 5120841 as example.

Creating a new or updating an existing die cast aluminium part

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Related documents. Name it ”Original BC drawing”.
  • Create a 3D model and drawing in SW that are identical with the BC drawing. NB! All dimensions on the BC drawing must be found on the FL drawing.
  • Add documents under Specifications .
  • See part number 5121003 as example.

Creating a new or updating an existing Conveyor module

  • BC drawing arrives (resp. to provide it is BC product manager at FlexLink).
  • Check the dimensioning and possibility to produce. If you see a mistake or an issue, contact the BC product manager at FlexLink.
  • Create a FL item in Coral (type “customer part”) and attach the BC drawing under Specifications.
  • Add Zollner label under Specifications.
  • Create a BOM that is identical with the one on the BC drawing.
  • See part number 5121810 as example.
